Applying eaves on the facade installed above windows is one of the most efficient passive solar control measures that can be considered in a project to prevent direct sunlight and solar radiation onto the glass’ surface. Depending on the orientation of the facade, these types of protections can reduce thermal sensation by up to 6 degrees while preserving visibility levels.
For this project installed at Universidad ITESO in Guadalajara, our DUNE sunshade system was used, inclined at 37 degrees, to meet the buyer’s request for a curved design and enhance the shading effect.
